Clipd Beaks New Album Coming

Clipd Beaks is one of those bands I accidentally came across a couple of years ago while in search of something new to listen to. They are noisy, layered, sonic and dark but always get my foot tapping. i really like these guys.
They released their first full length "Hoarse Lords" in 2007 and finally in Jan of 2010 their second full length "Realize" will be released on LovePump United label.

Final Grammal Seizure Release

Erik from Grammal Seizure says that this is his final release under "Grammal Seizure"

In his own words :

"O.k. ..... here's the deal. "MISSION TERMINATED" is exactly that.... It is the final release from GS.... and it's FREE ! I have some other releases that are slightly older than this and they may be released in the near future... "Non Stop Brutality" may be released on Inner X Musick as well.... But as for GS, I am flat out exhausted with the project.... So better to go out on a high (free) note, than to keep dragging out the same shit.....

MISSION TERMINATED is 12 songs that all GS fans will surely like..... It's actually the last 2 releases I was working on combined.... and the cover is a nod to TG's break up record "Mission of Dead Souls"...... So it's been interesting, but time to move on with things... There will be other projects from me in the future.... I'm just wore out right now and need a break..

Thanks to all the fans around the world... Honestly I never thought GS would even get noticed... So thank you to everyone."

Korean Tacos in the ATL

I am so excited to be trying, for the first time, a Korean style taco here in Atlanta this weekend. I have been hearing about all the amazing food trucks that serve big cities around the US and have always felt slighted that Atlanta hasn't caught on to it.

I read about the buzz in LA with the Kogi taco trucks and how amazing the taste is. So I was excited when I started reading about Atlanta's own Hankook Taqueria. While it is not a moving taco truck and sits in a plain storefront, I keep reading good things.

From what I understand they only serve lunch as of right now.
Your choice of Chicken "Dak Gogi" marinated in Spicy Korean BBQ
Beef "Bul Gogi" marinated in Korean BBQ
Pork "Dae Ji Gogi" Pulled pork with Spicy Korean BBQ
Fish "Saeng Seon Jeon" Panko crusted tilapia with hoisin tarter
Tofu "Tubu" crispy tofu

Then you have a choice of 2 dressings:
1. Lettuce, green onion, green cabbage tossed in soy sesame vinagrette
2. Yellow onion, cilantro and lime juice

They offer Burritos stuffed with fried rice kim chee with the above dressing choice

Quesadilla's chicken , beef or pork with sour cream and jack cheese

Then some apps/ street snacks
Fried Dumplings with ginger scallion pork filling
Vegetable stir fry potato noodles with sesame soy sauce
Rice and pusan fish cake in spicy broth
Tempura fried korean sweet potato
Rice, sesame veggies and spicy korean sauce
Soba noodles w/veggies and red pepper vinagrette

AkuYou Interview and CD Review

BeAtlanta.com has posted an interview and cd review with my project AkuYou. The interview was done with Clara and I a few weeks ago.

"Holy Hell. These girls just turned my brain inside out. This brand-new Atlanta band just let eight infinitely forceful songs loose on a split release with Grammal Seizure, a one man band from Maryland. AkuYou, consisting of Kim Chee and Clara Clamp, doesn’t seem to easily fit into any existing musical genre that I am aware of, unless pineal gland rock has already been coined. Using multiple effects and well thought out instrumentation, Kim shapes unique sound textures, which surround both Clara’s vocals and some pounding percussion that will certainly wake you up. Their song Bass Split is a perfect example. It flawlessly imitates the sounds one’s brain might produce while having a not-so-great experience on a strong psychedelic drug… plus drums. If this doesn’t sound fun to you then you need to just get over it and give it a try anyways. If you desire something a bit less ambient, their song SS has a bit more of a driving force, which really allows Clara to show you what she’s got. Or there is Henry, my personal favorite, which lies somewhere in the middle. Set aside the time to lie down, grab your biggest head-phones, concentrate, and experience AkuYou. You wont regret it."
